Lesson: THE FROZEN AND COLD HEART (c)

Updated: Feb 27, 2023

Lesson: THE FROZEN AND COLD HEART Wednesday, 21 DECEMBER 2022

It is 17 degrees at 7:30 A.M. Grandfather Sun shines coldly in the Eastern sky behind a tattered layer of translucent clouds. His warm sunny self is no longer. Instead, Grandfather is a brilliant winter white with soft edges of pale yellow. He appears frozen. A hazy thin sheet of ice seems to cover his face, nearby clouds and the sky surrounding him. What secrets does he hold within? If an entity came from the Spirit world with a strong fist and smacked this sky painting, it would shatter into a million pieces.

Grandfather Sun cannot warm a frozen heart that shines ice-cold rays emanating from traumas, PTSD, and abandonment. This soul appears unfriendly, unloving, and distant to others. The body says, don’t get too close. What feels like retaliation for some unknown offense, this person excludes themselves from events, circles of fun, and joy. And when help is needed, this person says, “When I need a helping hand, I look at the end of my arm.”

A frozen and cold heart fears cracking open the subconscious, where its facade lies hidden in the dark shadows. This grieving soul smiles, jokes, and pretends to be confident when socializing. But is unconsciously wary of being criticized, laughed at, or shamed. This person unknowingly keeps a part of themselves behind a hazy sheet of fragile ice, praying no one comes along and smacks it because this false sense of security would shatter into a million pieces.

Think for a moment. Do you identify with this person in whole or in part? Does the above description have your name in it? Have you been subjected to traumatic events, death, divorce, job losses, or being shunned? Have you been unjustly shamed? Do you fear it is true that it is your fault for whatever has happened to you?

Or, are you thinking,

“I don’t know what she is talking about; I’m fine. I don’t have any problems I can’t fix.”

Who you are is not your fault, but it is your responsibility. I am here to help you help yourself. Give yourself a gift this holiday season. Contact me. I have your back.
